What is the Kindle (Amazon) Scout Program?

“Kindle Scout is reader-powered publishing for new, never-before-published books. It’s a place where readers help decide if a book gets published.”

In other words, it is CROWD FUNDING for new and emerging authors. Amazon lists a new novel that hasn’t been published and the reader is given 5,000 to evaluate. If the reader likes what they read, they Nominate the book, and if the book gets enough nominations within the 30 period, Amazon offers the author a publishing contract.
